How the two packs fit together
- The datapack registers the content: a
painting_variantorjukebox_songentry per item. It goes in<world>/datapacks/. - The resource pack carries what you see and hear — the painting textures and the .ogg files. It goes in
.minecraft/resourcepacks/and must be enabled. - Both are needed. With only the datapack the painting registers but renders as missing texture; with only the resource pack nothing is registered at all.
- Nothing is overwritten. Every vanilla painting and disc stays exactly where it was — yours are added alongside.
Images and audio are packed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and Bedrock is not
supported — painting_variant and jukebox_song are Java registries.
