Privacy Policy

What MC Toolkit stores, what it does not, and why files you open in the tools never reach a server. Plain language, no boilerplate padding.

Short version: the tools run in your browser, so the files you work with never reach us. We keep no accounts and no user database.

Files you open in a tool stay on your device

Every tool on this site is client-side JavaScript. When you load a level.dat, a map.dat, a resource pack .zip, an .nbt structure or an image, it is read by your own browser and processed there.

Nothing is uploaded. There is no upload endpoint to send it to. You can verify this by opening your browser's network tab while using any tool, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads — the tools keep working.

What is stored in your browser

Two things, both in localStorage on your own machine, both removable by clearing site data:

KeyPurpose
mct-themeWhether you chose the light or dark theme
mct-langWhich language you picked, so you are not redirected away from it

These never leave your device and are not readable by us.

Server logs

The site is served as static files from a CDN. Like any web server, the CDN records standard request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for delivery and abuse prevention. We do not combine this with anything else, and there is no account to attach it to.

Analytics and advertising

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-GWYMRS8YJ1) to count page views and see which tools people actually use. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy, not this one. It runs only on mctoolkit.net — preview deployments and local builds do not report.

Google Consent Mode v2 is enabled. In the EU, the rest of the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage defaults to denied: no analytics cookie is set and visits are counted without an identifier. That is why this site does not put a cookie banner in front of you. Everywhere else analytics storage is granted and GA4 sets its own cookie.

Advertising signals — ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization — are denied in every region without exception, because the site carries no advertising.

Any further provider is disclosed here when added.

Children

The site has no accounts, no profiles and no user-submitted content, so it collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Third-party links

Guides and tools link out to Minecraft resources, wikis and other sites. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not this one.

Your rights

Because there is no account and no user database, there is nothing to export, correct or delete on our side. Everything the site knows about you is in your own browser storage, and clearing site data removes it.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page. Questions go to [email protected].
